AGT vote in 2026: how America's Got Talent voting worked and when it closed
AGT ran three ways to vote from August 18, 2026: the America's Got Talent Official App, NBC's online page and AGT's TikTok account; text voting is not listed. Fans had to be at least 18 and located in the United States, the District of Columbia or Puerto Rico to vote. The limit was 10 votes per act, per method, per window.

Three ways to vote in 2026: the app, NBC's online page and TikTok
From August 18, 2026, AGT listed three ways to vote for acts, the show's contestants: the America's Got Talent Official App, online voting through NBC's AGT vote page, and TikTok through AGT's TikTok account. Text voting is not on that list.
A second line in AGT's text says the same from the other side: voting is conducted online or through mobile applications.
The AGT voting app, which the rules call the America's Got Talent Official App, is the first of the three routes. For an America's Got Talent vote online, the venue was NBC's AGT vote page, and this page prints no web address for it.
TikTok is the odd one out: it runs through AGT's TikTok account and needs a public TikTok account, where the app and the online page need an email address, a Google account or an Apple ID.
Account and rules: what the app and online routes ask first
Users of the app and of NBC's online page must register with an email address, a Google account or an Apple ID, and accept the Official Voting Rules. Accepting those rules is a condition of taking part on either route.
The same text sets the limit each route carries. The app and online limits are counted per email address, the TikTok limit per public TikTok account, and each per act, per method and per window.
Eighteen or older and inside the United States, DC or Puerto Rico
Anyone 18 or older located within the 50 United States, the District of Columbia or Puerto Rico can vote. Both conditions sit in one sentence of the rules: an age of 18 or older, and a location in one of those places.
The location line is about presence: the sentence says 'located' and names no citizenship test. Viewers elsewhere are not covered by it, and no other territory is named.
Age has one number, 18, and no exception is written beside it in that sentence.
Opening and closing: what AGT's texts say about the Tuesday night schedule
Closing is the fixed point: every text puts the end of a live-show window at 7 am ET the next morning, Wednesday. That is the AGT voting deadline for each Tuesday episode, and it also answers how long the window stays open: from the Tuesday broadcast to 7 am ET Wednesday.
Opening is the moving part, and four descriptions of it appear in the texts read for this page. They differ, and the sentences read do not say which one governs.
The finale ran on its own clock. America's Got Talent finals voting opened at 9 pm ET on the finale's Tuesday and stayed available until 7 am ET the following morning, and the winner of America's Vote was revealed on the second night of the two-night finale.
Today, Wednesday, September 30, 2026, voting for AGT tonight has no open window on record: the finale's window closed at 7 am ET on the morning after it opened, and no window after it appears in the texts read.
- One text: the window opens at the end of the Tuesday episode.
- Another text: the window opens at the beginning of the show.
- A third text: the window starts during the live show on Tuesdays.
- A schedule listing: 8:00 pm ET Tuesday to 7:00 am ET Wednesday for most windows.
The limit in full: per act, per method, per window, per account
The limit is 10 votes per act, per method and per window, and for the app and online routes it is counted per email address as well. A fan chooses the acts: one act or several, with the limit applied to each act separately.
Because the limit is written per window, each new window is its own count and resets it; nothing in the sentences read carries votes from one Tuesday into the next. There is no separate daily cap, since the window itself runs from a Tuesday night to a Wednesday morning.
The method is part of the count too. The app and NBC's online page are separate methods in the rules, and TikTok is a third, so each carries its own 10 per act. Phone voting, in a separate text, used another unit: up to 10 votes per originating telephone number.
Phone voting: the toll-free route the 2026 list does not name
A separate AGT text describes phone voting: fans dial the toll-free numbers displayed on screen during the show. There is no cost for voting through the toll-free number when calling from a landline, and a caller can vote up to 10 times per originating telephone number.
Calls made outside an active window do not count: the caller hears a busy signal or a local carrier error message instead. Calls from phones other than a landline are not covered by the no-cost sentence.
The 2026 list of three ways does not include the phone route, and another line says voting is conducted online or through mobile applications. The phone text carries no date in the sentences read, so whether phone voting ran beside the three methods, before them or not at all in 2026 is left open.
Live results and tracking: what NBC publishes and what it does not
NBC officially publishes the vote results, the winners of America's Vote, and not a live running vote count. Its voting guide explains how to vote but describes no official live vote tally display.
Voting closes before the results are announced. For a live show that means 7 am ET Wednesday; for the finale it means the morning after its opening night, with the winner revealed on the second night.
That order leaves nothing to track. The guide describes no leaderboard, no tracker and no standings that move in real time, so America's Got Talent live voting is a window with a fixed end and no running score.
How many people vote is therefore not a published number. No turnout figure appears in the sentences read for this page, and none is estimated here.
The one enforcement line in the wording, and the penalties it never states
AGT's wording carries one enforcement line a fan can see at work: a phone call outside an active window does not count as a vote. Everything else is a limit stated as a limit, 10 votes per act, per method, per window, with the Official Voting Rules accepted on the app and online routes.
The sentences read for this page describe no penalty, review step or disqualification procedure for a vote that breaks a limit, so none is described here; the Official Voting Rules are the document to read.
Whether NBC flags a fake vote, and how a fake vote is detected, is equally unstated. A vote past the limit sits outside the rule NBC published, and the decision on it belongs to NBC and to no one else.
Unsettled in the texts: five points to check with NBC
Five points stay unsettled in the sentences read for this page, and NBC's own schedule and Official Voting Rules are where each one gets settled.
Nothing in this list is a prediction: each item names a gap in the texts, not a guess about how it resolves.
- The exact minute a live-show window opened: end of the episode, start of the show, during the show, or 8:00 pm ET.
- Whether phone voting ran in 2026 beside the app, online and TikTok routes.
- What 'immediate voting' means, since the sentences read never define the term.
- What NBC does with a vote that breaks a limit.
- How voting ran before August 18, 2026, the start date of the three-way list.
| Route | Where | Sign-in | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Official App | America's Got Talent Official App | Email address, Google account or Apple ID | 10 votes per act per window, per email address |
| Online | NBC's AGT vote page | Email address, Google account or Apple ID | 10 votes per act per window, per email address |
| TikTok | AGT's TikTok account | A public TikTok account | 10 votes per act, per public TikTok account |
| Phone (separate text) | Toll-free numbers shown on screen | None described | 10 votes per originating telephone number |

Fast answers
How does America's Got Talent voting work?
AGT works through three listed methods: the America's Got Talent Official App, NBC's online page and AGT's TikTok account, each with a limit of 10 votes per act per window. Users of the app and the online page register with an email address, Google account or Apple ID, and TikTok uses a public TikTok account. A live-show window opens with the Tuesday episode and closes at 7 am ET the next morning.
How to vote for AGT tonight online?
Voting for AGT tonight has no open window on record, because the finale's window closed at 7 am ET on the morning after it opened. During the 2026 live shows, the online route ran through NBC's AGT vote page from the Tuesday episode until 7 am ET Wednesday, after registering with an email address, a Google account or an Apple ID.
How many times can you vote for AGT?
AGT allowed up to 10 votes per act, per method, per window, counted per email address on the app and online routes and per public TikTok account on TikTok. The limit is written per window, so each new window is its own count. Phone voting, in a separate text, allowed up to 10 votes per originating telephone number.
When does voting end for AGT?
A live-show window closed at 7 am ET the next morning, and the finale's window closed at 7 am ET the following morning as well. Results come after the window closes, with the finale's winner revealed on the second night of the two-night finale. The finale's window is the last one on record for 2026.
Does it cost money to vote on AGT?
The sentences read for this contest state a cost rule only for phone: there is no cost for voting through the toll-free number when calling from a landline. They name no charge for the app, online or TikTok routes.
How many people vote on America's Got Talent?
NBC's voting guide gives no count of how many people vote, and no official live running vote count is described in it. NBC officially publishes the results, the winners of America's Vote, after voting closes. No turnout figure appears in the sentences read for this page.
What happens if an AGT vote breaks the rules?
The sentences read for this page name no penalty, review step or disqualification procedure for a vote that breaks a limit. They describe one enforcement line: a phone call outside an active window does not count as a vote. NBC decides the rest, and its Official Voting Rules, which app and online users accept when they register, are where to look.

No purchase in a contest like this one can lift a fan's allowance above AGT's limit of 10 votes per act, per method, per window, and the finale's window has closed. NBC and its Official Voting Rules decide what counts. Nothing on this page predicts a winner or a result.
Each organiser's own terms decide which votes are valid, and an organiser can void votes or disqualify an entry. ITV's Love Island terms limit each registered mobile number to one vote per voting event and rule out any method the terms do not state. America's Got Talent asks voters to register and accept its official voting rules, with a cap of ten votes per act, per voting method, per voting window. The American Music Awards decided each winner by the total of valid votes in the category.
Organisers write an ordinary voter down in numbers. The American Music Awards allowed up to 30 votes per award per day on each voting platform, the NASCAR All-Star Race fan vote allowed five a day per unique email address, and the iHeartRadio Music Awards allowed 50 a day per category. A crowd of separate voters stays inside limits like these and arrives day by day, with busier days when an organiser opens a boost. This describes how organisers count; it is not a way around a check.
We give no legal advice and cite no statute: the terms that bind a fan vote are the organiser's own, and they fix who may vote. Dancing with the Stars online voters must be at least 18 and in the United States, its territories or Canada; Love Island USA voting is open to US residents aged 18 or older, or with parental permission. We refuse member-only ballots such as the ACM Awards, categories an organiser decides itself, as MTV did with Best Video, and any vote for public office.

The part of a request that is not delivered before the organiser's voting closes is refunded. A result, a disqualification and a voided vote are never refunded, because the organiser decides all three. Nor is a vote's worth inside the format covered: the MLB All-Star ballot did not carry Phase 1 totals into Phase 2, and at The Game Awards fan voting is one tenth of the vote that decides winners.
