Deadlines stated, never guessed
A closing hour appears here only when the organiser's own page states it. Where it does not, we point you to the page that announces it.
Pace set by window and cap
Delivery follows each organiser's window and cap, spread day by day the way a crowd of separate voters arrives, rather than in a single block.
Organiser rules come first
Every named vote has its own cap, its own eligible voters and its own clock. We read those first and say so plainly when extra votes cannot matter.
A straight no when fans do not decide
Member-only ballots, panel scores and categories the organiser picks itself are outside our reach, and you hear that before any payment is discussed.
Refunds cover undelivered votes only
If votes cannot be delivered before the organiser's voting closes, the undelivered part is refunded. A result, a disqualification or a voided vote is not.
Name the vote and paste its page
Say which show, award or all-star vote it is and paste the page where fans vote. Add the closing hour if the organiser has published one.
We read that organiser's rules
Who may vote, how often, on which account, inside which window. If the rules leave nothing for extra votes to do, the answer is no.
You get a plan sized to the window
The reply says what the organiser's rules allow, how votes would be spread across the days left, and what is refunded if any part falls short.
Track the organiser's tally
That tally is the only count that matters. Where standings are hidden near the close, wait for the announced result.
Each organiser's own terms decide which votes are valid, and an organiser can void votes or disqualify an entry. ITV's Love Island terms limit each registered mobile number to one vote per voting event and rule out any method the terms do not state. America's Got Talent asks voters to register and accept its official voting rules, with a cap of ten votes per act, per voting method, per voting window. The American Music Awards decided each winner by the total of valid votes in the category.
Organisers write an ordinary voter down in numbers. The American Music Awards allowed up to 30 votes per award per day on each voting platform, the NASCAR All-Star Race fan vote allowed five a day per unique email address, and the iHeartRadio Music Awards allowed 50 a day per category. A crowd of separate voters stays inside limits like these and arrives day by day, with busier days when an organiser opens a boost. This describes how organisers count; it is not a way around a check.
We give no legal advice and cite no statute: the terms that bind a fan vote are the organiser's own, and they fix who may vote. Dancing with the Stars online voters must be at least 18 and in the United States, its territories or Canada; Love Island USA voting is open to US residents aged 18 or older, or with parental permission. We refuse member-only ballots such as the ACM Awards, categories an organiser decides itself, as MTV did with Best Video, and any vote for public office.

The part of a request that is not delivered before the organiser's voting closes is refunded. A result, a disqualification and a voided vote are never refunded, because the organiser decides all three. Nor is a vote's worth inside the format covered: the MLB All-Star ballot did not carry Phase 1 totals into Phase 2, and at The Game Awards fan voting is one tenth of the vote that decides winners.
On the organiser's own voting page or announcement. We quote a closing time only when the organiser has published one; anything else is unconfirmed. Shining Awards says some fan polls stay open for weeks and others for months, and voting locks when a poll reaches its closing time.
Live ones. Netflix gives viewers a limited time to vote when its on-screen live-voting prompt appears, and Sofascore opens Player of the Match fan voting in the 80th minute of each match. The organiser states each window itself.
Not always. In the MLB All-Star ballot, Phase 1 vote totals did not carry over into Phase 2. Read the organiser's phase rules before you plan around any total.
Sometimes not. The Webby voting site hides standings during the last 24 hours, the BBC does not disclose exact Strictly voting figures, and ITV says its published voting percentages may be rounded. Treat the organiser's final announcement as the count.
It differs by organiser. Dancing with the Stars allows each eligible viewer 10 votes per couple per method, up to 20 per couple across both methods. The Webby People's Voice allows one vote per category. The limit is the organiser's to set, so read its terms.
Each organiser sets its own age and place rules. Online voters for Dancing with the Stars must be at least 18 and physically in the United States, its territories or Canada. The Webby People's Voice is open to Internet users worldwide, and the Webby Awards excludes people under 13, or under a higher age where local law sets one, from its services.
Yes. Each organiser's rules define a valid vote. Votes that fall outside them can be voided, and the entry behind them can be disqualified. No seller can prevent that, and a refund does not reverse an organiser's decision.
When fans do not hold the deciding share. ACM Awards voting requires ACM membership. In the editions we checked, MTV chose its EMA Best Video winner itself, and FIFA counted fans as a quarter of its player, coach and goalkeeper polls regardless of how many fans voted.
